They - whoever they are - say that laughter is the best medicine. And it is so true. I hope the above pic mad you laugh. The hub looks like marshmallow man. Laughter has really helped Kevin and I over the past weekend as we entered into the final stage of invito. On Friday my eggs were put back in. Everything went really well except the fact that you have to have a full bladder to do the procedure, and all I could do was pray I didn't pee on anyone especially my doctor. They let me "relieve" a little right before I went in and let me just say - hardest thing I have even done. You laugh - but next time just give it a try and see if you can stop short. I spent the rest of the weekend with my feet up and laid up in bed - no pun intended. Kevin did a great job taking care of me - he was a champ and never complained. The only recent bump in the bumpy baby making road we have been on has been the administration of progesterone shots. These massive shots have to be given by someone other than yourself right in the backside. So for the last week and a half I have had 2 targets drawn on my behind to mark the spot. I can't see the shot - but I know it's big and in my mid it hurts bad. Luckily I have numbing cream so it doesn't hurt that bad - tonight I barely felt it. Well the other night MD in training - Kevin gave me my nightly shot. When he didn't rub the injection site like normal to prevent knotting - I started to panic b/c I knew something was wrong. Guess who hit a vein (I knew it could happen eventually) and guess who had a blood geyser overflowing from their bum? And, since I have been on a blood thinner to prevent clotting - it just didn't want to quit. All we could really do is wait and laugh at the look of sheer panic I had on my face when I realized what was wrong.
PS - We are excepting any prayers you would like to say for us as we wait to find the outcome of our procedure. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
