Hope everyone is doing well in blogger land. I know it has been forever since my last post, but there just hasn't been a lot going on. And, when I have a minute - it is usually spent resting on the couch. I wish I could just take a darn nap. But I am just not a napper. I am sure I will learn how when the babies get here.
My memorial weekend started off with a bang. Had to work on Friday. I say work, but it was field day at school and I was in charge of the grasshopper bounce station so I would hardly call it work. Don't get me wrong though, I was exhausted, sweaty, and hoarse by the end of the day. And sadly so many of our kids only lasted one round on the grasshopper and called it a day. It was like they had never played outside before.
On Saturday I went to Central market for brunch for a friend's birthday. What a relaxing morning. Afterwards we all went fun grocery shopping together. I say fun because where else can you shop and sample what you're buying??? We grilled out that night and watched my new favorite show.
For those of you that don't know I am a devoted Twilight fan. I might even travel to Forks one day. A friend had told me about a Vampire series on HBO called True Blood. And since we have On Demand I thought I'd give it a try this weekend. Well today is Sunday and I am proud and excited to announce Kevin and I (you bet I made him watch with me) have finished the whole first season (12 episodes) and are awaiting the beginning of Season 2. If you have HBO and like Twilight - I strongly recommend this show.
Not sure what tomorrow holds for us. I battled laundry today so I won't be doing that so we will see. Have a great and relaxing weekend. Bless all of you who have severed our country proud! You may me gone but never forgotten.

They are Taking After us already!
Kev and I went to the Dr. on Thurs. It was a bittersweet apt. You see this is the last apt. we will have with wonderful Dr. Kaufman. We are so sad to leave him b/c he was a huge part in the blessing we have received. But it means we have come far enough to be released as his patients. I do not have the words to express my gratitude, admiration, and love for him and his practice for what they were able to do for us and so many others. He will always have a special place in our hearts. Dr. Allen (my regular OB) get ready - you have some big shoes to fill.
Kevin said that one is like me when I sleep - all sprawled out and taking up all of the room. The other was curled up in a little ball trying to find room in there.

Now to the apt. Both babies are doing well. They were 19 mm and 21 mm. Their heartbeats were 166 and 178. The cute/funny part is that one was totally stretched out and you could see it's little arms and legs.

Kevin said that one is like me when I sleep - all sprawled out and taking up all of the room. The other was curled up in a little ball trying to find room in there.

Kevin said this one takes after him. He feels sympathy for that little one.
We should find out in about 2 months what we will be having. I have not felt them yet, but maybe soon. My tummy is growing and for those of you who have not talked to me in a while I have developed a serious case of the burps. Seriously ladies - I could put even the best of truckers to shame. Other that that - no morning sickness, no overwhelming sense of exhaustion. So far so good. I thank my lucky stars for the break on that.

The Twins...
Please know that I love my husband dearly ... but I do not for one minute forget that he is in fact a man and not yet a grown up.
We went shopping at the market this weekend and about the time we headed up to check out the heavens opened up and proceeded to rain down a seemingly endless wall of water. We decided not to put off the inevitable and chose and lane and began the check out process. In my most kind voice I informed Kevin that the twins and I took a vote and decided he would have to go out in the rain and get the car and come and pick us up. There was no way I was going to drown in the torrential downpour. He's the husband - isn't that in their list of husbandly duties?? He laughed but agreed. I had just turned around to put the last of the groceries on the counter when I saw him make some weird hand gesture to the check out guy. This got them both laughing. At this point I am aware that I have missed something. Regardless...I went on to talk about how the twins and I were going to enjoy out voting him for the next 7 months and how the twins and I make the rules and on and on and on. We finished up at the register and Kevin headed out for the car.
Like a good hubby he pulled up and I hoped in getting only a few drops on my delicate head. As I get in the car he bursts out laughing. Again - I know I missed something. Well... he proceeds to tell me that after I made the first twin comment and looked away he made a gesture with his hands towards his chest. So here I am going on and on about me and the twins (the 2 babies growing inside of me) and the check out guy thinks I am talking about "the girls" - the twins on the outside of me. Very mature Kevin!!!
Seriously - Do they ever grow out of this? Next time we are at the store I will make no references about me and the twins. I would never again want someone to get the impression that I am going on and on about the twins on the outside of me as opposed to the inside. Thanks honey!
