Happy Halloween!!!

When contemplating what to be for a little Halloween shin dig we were attending Kevin jokingly said I should attend as Humpty Dumpty. Little did he know I would take him seriously, and make his go like that as well. I have to give myself props - we stayed at the party till 11:30. My feet were starting to loose feeling at that point so we had to bail out.
Hope everyone has a very Happy Halloween.

Kevin's Trickery....

As many of you know my husband lives for making himself laugh and surrounds himself with people and things that make him laugh. Hence why he chose me as his spouse. He is forever laughing at the things I say, do, or little tricks that he plays on me just to get a reaction. Today like most days was no different.

I dread the weigh in part of my my doctor visits as most women do. Although my pregnancy has been great, I have not enjoyed the added weight one bit. It is very hard to be okay with gaining weight - a total mind shift from how any of us think. It's hard to reprogram your thinking for 9 months.

So...we went to the Dr. today and they had me do the usual - step up on the scale. For the first time I commented that I couldn't see my weight. I had to lean forward a bit to actually see it. What I saw alarmed me to tears. If I was remembering correctly my weight from my last appointment (2 weeks prior) had gone up 30 some pounds. I could hardly believe it. I started sobbing immediately. I looked at Kevin who was having the complete opposite reaction - he was laughing hysterically. I kept crying, he kept laughing and I honestly was stumped for a minute. The nurse finally asked me to look down at the scale again. This time there was unfortunately a weight gain, but no where near 30 lbs. You see Kevin thought it would be funny to step on the back of the scale to add extra pounds to my overall weight. I had no idea what he was up to. I was so stunned that I just stood there crying and not moving. The nurse really didn't help either when she commented while standing next to me, "Wow Mrs. Kelli you have gained a lot of weight." Thanks so much hun and nurse Linda for your love and support.

Needless to say the hub is in the dog house. I hope he learned a valuable lesson today - never, never put more emphasis on your wife's pregnancy weight gain.

Updates

I am at the most 5 weeks out from meeting the boys who have been calling me home for the past 8 months. We have finally chosen names. Are little ones are going to be Gavin and Mason. With that finally out of the way I was able to begin decorating their room. We have had all of the staples for a while just nothing on the walls. After much thought and deliberation about what to do I finally chose some things I liked, with Kevin's input, and have the room somewhat decorated the room. I still have a few little projects to finish, but am hopeful they'll be done in the next week or so.

Week 30

Week 32

G's Crib

Shelves above the dresser/changing table

M's Crib

Dresser & shelves

I'll post more once the room is complete. I am headed to the Dr. this week and am wondering if he'll tell me I am carrying around 8 or more lbs of baby. We'll see....

Happy Birthday Kevin!

We headed to San Antonio this weekend to celebrate Kevin's 30th Birthday. Kevin's parents met us here for the occasion. We went out last night to the Grey Moss Inn for Dinner. Dinner was great and it was like 55 degrees outside where we dined. I was in Heaven. This was the first time in a while that I have not been hot. Today we are heading out to do some shopping. Kevin is really excited about that. Ha - he keeps trying to pull the birthday card cause he'd rather pass on that part of the weekend. Oh well. We'll see what we can find.

Here aer Kevin's Parents Randy and Stacey.
