Pictures & Pillows

Today has proved to be another productive Saturday. Not only did we get family pictures taken I also managed to do a little sewing. Below are a few pics of the boys after they returned from their photo shoot.

G is happy to be home with his toys.
M always wants to wear his hat. I think he is hinting that he wants to go outside - since mommy always makes him wear his hat whenever they go out.

And the pillows. I wanted something with a little texture. I am digging ruffles right now. So here you go. The red adds a punch of color to my mostly black dining room.

Clock Talk

With all of these clocks one would think I would never be late. And those of you that know me personally know that I am never late. Except today..

I woke up thinking "wow it's really light in here." My next thought was "HOLY FREAKING COW IT'S LIGHT IN HERE!!!"

I threw off the covers in a mad dash, looked at my phone/alarm clock to see that it was 7:00. I needed to be at work by 7:30. In the short few minutes I had to get ready along with the help of the hubs I was able to get fully dressed and clothed - including iron my pants, get lunch and coffee and managed to make it to work by 7:40. Success! Although I was little frazzled - I was there ready to work.

In honor of this little mishap here a few clocks around the house which will hopefully serve as reminders for me to remember to set my alarm or not to turn it off when it chimes (still not sure which of the two happened).

Gallery Wall

It seems that everywhere I look in decorator blog land I am reading/hearing/seeing pics and talk of "gallery walls." It just so happens that I was needing to update the walls in the hallway leading to our master bedroom. Enter inspiration. I am loving what PB has done here and am gonna make it happen somehow someway down that hallway.

In my dream house (yes, I love my current house - but a girl can dream right) I will have a wall just like this -translation = have adquate wall space to attempt to do something like this.

This might be a better fit for right now. I love the oversized mats and skinny frames.

This really might be the perfect fit for that hallway. Images are from http://www.potterybarn.com/

The Ribbon Plate & Weekend Recap

My love for my 3 ribbon plates came in handy this weekend. I was able to use all 3 for both the birthday party I had at my house for my BFF's little girl and baby shower for another dear friend. I never thought a plate had so much potential before snagging my first ribbon plate a few years back from SLAH - now Willow House. The non circular plates came from Write Plate. I was super excited to host lil Miss Hannah's first birthday. Seeing as how I have two boys I was pumped to decorate our pad with pink girliness.

How cute is her hat!
After several shots we realized our tradition of taking of pic of the boys and Hannah isn't as easy as it has been in the past. Still turned out pretty cute.

The ribbon plates stuck again at the boy baby shower I co hosted this afternoon.
These onsie cookies were the cutest things I have ever seen.

That's all for now. Have a great week!
