Since we are now well seasoned in traveling with our two little boys, we geared up and got in the car and headed south. We spent 4th of July weekend outside of Austin at my parents house in Kingsland. We even (because we are so good at it now) ventured into Austin to see my best friend Lindsay for a night. Here is a rundown of the events of our weekend.
Friday - Arrived in Kingsland - BBQ with the fam and brother Seth
Saturday - Hung out at parents - packed up - drove to Austin - swim party at Lindsay's house
Sunday - Got my hair done (thanks Lindsay)- visited with Kevin's Mimi and her family - drove back to Kingsland
Monday - Ran (well drove actually) to Llano to do some antiquing with mom (so fun) - packed up again - drove back home
It's always so nice to be around family for Holidays, especially your parents. My parents are great cooks and we certainly enjoyed tasting everything they made. Mason and Gavin enjoyed themselves as well. They love Grandmas house a lot. They had a ball rolling around and visiting with everyone. They were able to practice moving all around on the palette that their Grandma made for them in the living room. It was a great trip from which we are still unpacking from. So glad we got to go and see everyone. Looking forward to our next adventure to Concan, Texas.

Our First Road Trip
What a great captain we had! - I mean you dad!
We recently returned from our first road trip to Lake Eufaula, Alabama. Every year my parents give us a vacation for our Christmas gift and every third week in June for the past 4 years Kevin and I have been able to cash in on this wonderful gift. Previous vacations have taken us to the Florida Keys, Las Vegas, and St. Augustine where my parents reside.Usually my sister's family is along for wherever our Christmas gift takes us, but unfortunately this year due to some family health issues on my brother-in-law's side they had to miss the now annual Winn Family Vaca. The were missed and there in spirit though. This years venue included a quaint lake house with a beautiful view and boat to go along with it. We spent 2 days driving to lovely AL to meet up with my parents. Our days were spent boating, cooking out, visiting, and of course loving on the two cutest little boys. Speaking of boys - they were huge fans of the boat. They could have done without the life vests though. But in the words of Officer Palmer "Safety first boys." I am sure you can all just hear him giving his safety speech to his two sons. They also loved the water. Mason even feel asleep while floating on one of our excursions. Every day we boated up to a new beach and had a picnic lunch on the boat or under a shade tree. It was a beautiful lake and most of the time we seemed to be the only ones on it.
We are so thankful for the many gifts we have received over the years from our parents. We had made so many memories on each vacation and have such good times we have to look back on. Time spent with loved ones is really the best gift of all. We are already looking forward to next years get together. Fingers crossed that everyone will be there.

6 Months Old!!!!
Half a year old. Has it really been that long since these guys arrived? I love posting these birthday pics every month. I always take time to look through their previous photos. They have really changed since they first arrived. They continue to change daily. I wish there was some way to stop it but I am afraid it is out of my control.
Happy Birthday Boys!!!
